2022 Honda Civic Compact Sedan Review

2022 Honda Civic compact car has been revamped for the year with distinctive styling and performance-driven features. The 11th-generation is fully modified with a bolder appearance and advanced cabin designs and series of four-cylinder engine that includes a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine with front-wheel drive with standard Honda all-wheel drive.

Civic is fully updated for the 2022 line-up with an intuitive infotainment touchscreen display system, wireless smartphone connectivity, range of driver assistance technology. The best-selling sedan goes on sale this summer with the newer Hatchback model at Klein Honda. 2021 line-up is the most exciting to drive with upgraded powertrains, edgy-looking exterior, and stunning inside.

What’s new in the 2022 Civic Line-up?

2022 Honda Civic has a fully redesigned outside and updated cabin area and inside with touch commands and performance features. The addition of the Civic hatchback prototype is unveiled but there is information yet to be released by the automaker. 2022 line-up comes in three new colors i.e. Meteorite Gray Metallic, Sonic Gray Pearl, and exclusive morning mist blue metallic.

2022 Civic has the front seat updated to deliver the comfort of long drives and improved driving dynamics for a better driving experience. Both the powertrains have excellent fuel efficiency for city and highway driving. 

Powertrain and Performance

The redesigned Civic has impeccable power and performance as previous-generation models. Honda Civic has a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that makes 158 horsepower with front-wheel-drive and optional all-wheel drive. It has an upgraded turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 180 horsepower with manual transmission and CVT.

2022 line-up has an optional 1.5-liter that generates 180 horsepower, 177lb-ft of torque. It comes with an improved fuel economy and has an EPA rating of 31mpg city and 40 mpg highway. The EX and Touring have an EPA of 33 mpg city and 42 mpg highway.

Interior and Exterior

The interior of the all-new Civic is clean and subtle with a full-width honeycomb-patterned mesh design element that hides the air vents. 2022 Honda Civic sedan has 14.4 cubic feet of cargo space and the same on the EX & Touring models. The thin and lightweight body design with the low hood, front fenders, horizontal beltline, and windshield pillars.  

The exterior has door-mounted side mirrors, front fenders to the taillights, an aerodynamic trunk lid, and 16-inch wheels standard and optional 17-18 inch alloy wheels in all four trim levels such as LX, Sport, EX, and Touring. It has an intuitive instrument panel with the new honeycomb metal with an informative display system, climate control, premium build materials, switchgear, standard 7-inch color LCD, and an all-digital speedometer.

2022 Honda Civic has a standard 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an optional 9.0-inch display system. It has a 10.2-inch digital gauge display with Apple car play, Android Auto, standard wireless smartphone charging pad, bose stereo system, in-built dash navigation system in upcoming models for sale at Frank Leta Honda.
