2021 Infiniti QX80 review: Outdated infotainment, comfortable ride.

The three-row luxury SUV QX80 has upscale material, stunning features to compete with the rivals. QX80 has received tough competition from BMW X7 and Mercedes Benz GLS Class. The SUV is comfy, can occupy seven or more passengers at once. 

QX80 is filled with cushioning and genuine leather upholstery. It has an appealing style, luxurious features, and a pool of driver assistance features.

What’s new in the 2021 line-up?

Infiniti QX80 line-up has an addition of two new trims in the line-up mid-range Premium select trim and a top-notch sensory model. It features driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance. It has unique styles, dark chrome exterior trim, 22-inch wheels, matte-brown interior with Sahara stone, and truffle brown color scheme. 

Sensory Model is a high-end luxurious model with chrome trimmings, bits on the outside, leather upholstery quilted, hydraulically controlled suspension, burlwood trim, hydraulically controlled suspension, large rear-view mirror, digital display with a rear-facing camera.

Engine and Performance

The modernized vehicle ensures high-performance with 22-inch alloy wheels, smooth power delivery, excellent throttle control and response. It comes equipped with the 5.6-liter V8 engine with seven-speed automatic transmission, 400 horsepower, and covers 0-60 mph in 5.9 seconds. It has a downshifted transmission, exhilarating exhaust note, and delivers a comfortable ride. The three-row luxury SUV has excellent driving dynamics and delivers a comfortable ride.

Infiniti QX80 has a towing capacity of 8500 pounds with rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel drive. The fuel economy of a three-row SUV is worse and has an EPA of 14 mpg city and 20 mpg highway.

Interior and Exterior

Infiniti QX80 design is the same as the 2011 line-up model. It comes with excellent features such as a panoramic sunroof, massaging seats, head-up display. The cabin is roomy, well-structured, spacious, and adults can easily chill there without getting their legs cramped. 

Infiniti has standard second-row captain chairs with a three-seat bench. It has an ample interior chubby space and luggage storage in the third-row.

Infotainment System

2021 Infiniti QX80 touchscreen infotainment system is easily accessible, responsive screen, hotspot system, and excellent user interface. QX80 comes with a 12-volt outlet with USB ports. It has also an optional theater package with a USB port and 120-volt outlet. It has a rear-seat entertainment system of 8.0-inch screens that can be fitted in the front-seat headrests.

Safety Features

Infiniti has earned four-star crash ratings from NHTSA and IIHS. QX80 comes with a series of driver-assistance technologies such as forward collision warning, automated emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, and lane-departure warning. 

Warranty

Infiniti QX80 has limited warranty coverage of four years or 60,000 miles and powertrain warranty coverage for six-year or 70,000 miles.
