In early 2018, Kia Stinger made his first appearance in the United States. 2022 model is making its way back with refined features and advanced technology. The sports sedan has elite functions with impressive looks and different driving modes make it fun to drive.

What’s new in the 2022 Kia Stinger?

The newer and better version of the sports sedan has received major styling updates. The standard engine replaces and adds a powerful turbocharged engine with 3.3-liter that has 368 horsepower with the exhaust system. 2022 Stinger features newer wheel designs, exhaust tips, lighting elements, optional 10.3-inch infotainment display system.

Engine and Performance

2022 Kia Stinger sports sedan has exhilarating performance with eight-speed automatic transmission and quick shifter. Stinger is equipped with turbocharged engines such as 2.5-liter four-cylinder engines that make 300 horsepower and a 3.3-liter V6 engine with eight-speed automatic transmission.

The best part about driving Stinger is it runs in a straight line and has been tested to prove its worth and fast-paced performance. It runs faster in the normal driving mode when pushed to the limits.  It delivers a smooth driving experience on bumpy and harsh roads with robust acceleration and braking runs.

It offers Brembo brakes, all-season tires, and high-performing features that make Stinger less impressive and out of the game in comparison to Mustang GT. The line-up comes with the GT1 and GT2 base model with a mechanical standpoint and controlled suspension.

It has an impressive fuel economy with an EPA of 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway and with all-wheel drive, it delivers a 17 mpg city and 24 highway.

Interior and Exterior

2022 sports sedan interior has a luxurious design with premium quality materials in the luxury line-up. Stinger has comfortable rear seating fully loaded with commendable features. Kia features a standard 8.0-inch and optional 10.0-inch UVO infotainment system. It offers standard Apple car play, Android Auto, optional 15-speaker Harman Kardon stereo system, wireless smartphone charging, an in-built navigation system, and a standard six-speaker stereo system in the line-up.

Safety Features and Warranty

2022 Kia Stinger hasn’t been crash-tested tet by the NHTSA and comes with a series of the driver assistance features such as automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, pedestrian detection, driver-attention monitoring,  and adaptive cruise control. Kia offers limited warranty coverage of five years, powertrain coverage of 10 years.
