Ford and Google joined hands to use Google’s cloud platform and Android Auto operating in Ford and Lincoln vehicles by 2023. The partnership between tech and Automobile company is named Team Upshift.
The partnership will lead to having an addition of an infotainment system in 2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles. The system will be operated by the Android operating system. Ford will use the Google cloud platform with manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence and machine learning system.
2023 line-up vehicles equipped with an infotainment system that can use Google voice assistant, Google Maps and Google Play to add different applications and one can get in-store purchases. The infotainment system delivers exquisite experience by both Automakers.
Ford will make Google its cloud partner that will regulate the AI training to Ford and Lincoln employees. This will help and streamline the training and manufacturing process. The training will allow them to customize their choices and updates for customers. Google Cloud System sends over-the-air-updates in-vehicle software that is used with the Android operating system.
The emergence of AI and cloud functions have given rise to the partnership among different companies. The partnership will be fruitful to many consumers in the long run.
