Ford asks Dealers to initially invest $35k for selling EVs

Ford is moving towards electrification in the global market. Recently, they have announced the launch of electric vehicles and selling them in the European market from 2030. The brand has decided to electrify its whole range of EVs. They are also preparing to launch Electric Vehicles in the United States.

Ford asked and sent a letter to their US Dealer stating to receive next-generation EV models dealer has to initially invest $35,000. The investment is optional for dealers across the country. They have proposed the investment to go all-electric in the coming years.

There are chances to see a change in the estimated amount as it will include covering chargers, equipment, installation, and more. The dealers who are interested in the proposal have to present a demonstration of working of 240V charging station and have necessary equipment by the end of April.

There are still some things that need to be clear from Ford’s end related to certification for selling Mustang Mach-E and upcoming Ford F-150 Electric. The proposal wouldn’t be entertained by every single dealer as there are car dealerships lesser interested in selling electric cars near me or any next-generation vehicle with the investment.
