2022 Volvo Line-up model gets 48-volt Hybrid System

Volvo’s new plan to increase fuel efficiency in some models is by adding a 48-volt hybrid system for US Models. 2022 Volvo S60, S90, XC60, and V90 cross country with B5 and B6 powertrains has higher fuel efficiency compared to non-hybrid models. The EPA ratings have slightly increased or decrease with the updated powertrain.

The whole Volvo line-up has B5 and B6 powertrains under the hood or similarly other vehicles in the United States with amp-up performance. Volvo S60 and XC60 feature a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a B5 powertrain and a more robust supercharged version in standard XC60 and large S90 sedan & V90 cross country wagon.

The new powertrain received immense popularity aids to better fuel efficiency but specifications are yet to be announced. The hybrid engine has more range and fuel efficiency than an internal combustion engine. The addition of B5 and B6 has increased the horsepower by 250 and 316 hp in current Volvo models.

The previous generation models at a discounted prices with exemplary financing options are for sale at Kimberly Car City. Sadly, the 48-volt hybrid system models are yet to reach the United States.
