2022 Nissan Frontier refreshed with a new body style and features

2022 is the year of change for Nissan Frontier with the addition of an overhaul. The third-generation Nissan has received a few changes in the bodywork, updated interior, and high-end technology. Frontier still has an outdated ride frame that still people have to ride with.

There is no specific information available from Nissan’s end but there are chances Nissan will offer Extended King Cab and Crew Cab with rear or four-wheel drive and six-foot cargo bed lengths. It has different trim levels such as S, SV,  and top-spec Pro 4x and with off-road features. 

It has different configurations crew cabs, king boxes with cargo boxes depending on the model. The Frontier has a new wheelbase that comes with 126.0 inches and 139.8 inches for long-box crew models. It has an overall length of 210.2 and 224.1 width and maximum height down by 1.5 inches to 72.3.

It has received a few changes over the year with the inclusion of a box steel ladder-type frame in the new pick-up truck. It has received some enhancements with revised spring and damper tuning, and bump stops. The new Nissan has classic vintage looks in the dashboard and infotainment system with a quick ratio and older time hydraulics.

It has an optional four-wheel-drive system and a newer powertrain of the 3.8-liter V6 engine that makes 310 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque with nine-speed automatic transmission. Frontier crew cab Pro 4x model has blistered fenders and darkened themes. Nissan’s all-new pick-up trucks are equipped with Hardbody compact pick-up trucks inspired from the early 80s and 90s. 

It has taller bed-sides, cargo boxes, a damp tailgate, and optional LED lighting. It has a maximum payload capacity of 1610 pounds and a towing capacity of 6270 pounds. Frontier has a bold exterior design that features attractive looks and premium quality material in the vehicles. 

Nissan zero-gravity front seats, larger storage cubbies with red accents, and contrast stitching. It has a standard 7.0-inch infotainment display with analog gauges. It has an 8.0-inch touchscreen in the center but can be upgraded with a 9.0-inch unit with standard Android Auto and Apple car play.

It has an optional heated steering wheel, front seats, Wi-Fi hotspot, nine-speaker fender audio system, wireless charging pad, and Nissan 360-degree camera system with front-facing off-road mode. It features Automatic forward collision warning, forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear-emergency warning, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-departure warning.

NISMO offers a range of accessories that features lightning systems, ladder racks, and tents for the cargo bed. 2021 Frontier comes at an MSRP of $29,065 with a slight increase of $40K.
