Porsche Boxster has completed its journey of 25 years. The 25th Anniversary Boxster 718 is a special edition mid-engine sports car equipped with a 4.0-liter flat six-cylinder engine. The concept of Boxster was first revealed at the 1993 Detroit Auto Show. The Boxster 25th Anniversary edition is limited to 1250 cars.
Boxster 25th Edition has cooper trims in the front and side air intakes, wheels, and badges. It has a fuel cap with a Porsche script, aluminum finish, and standard sports exhaust system. It is available in different colors such as GT Silver, Jet Black, and Carrera white color choices with five-spoke cooper 20-inch wheels. It has sport seats in Bordeaux red leather with a red fabric convertible top with a brushed aluminum interior.
It is equipped with the 4.0-liter flat six-cylinder engine that makes 394 horsepower, 309 lb-ft of torque with rear-wheel drive and standard six-speed automatic transmission, and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It covers a range of 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds and a quarter-mile in 12.0 seconds at 118 mph and attains a top speed of 182 mph. Boxster has a 2.5-liter flat six-cylinder engine that makes 201 horsepower.
The limited-edition Boxster has a Sport Chrono package that has launch control, mounted steering wheel with a drive mode selector. It has adaptive dampers and a limited-slip differential. 2021 Boxster 25 is soon be arriving in the car dealerships for sale in spring at a starting price of $99,950.
