2021 BMW 4 Series Convertible is back with a soft-top roof

BMW has finally come up with its biggest change in the case of roof, it took a long time for BMW to launch the 4th convertible series, in this series BMW brings back the transition of the soft roof from the hardtop roof. The last generation of the 4th series offers you a folding hardtop, which was not good enough for the long-range because it takes the cargo space and bulkier to manage. In this new series, BMW claims that this time you will get more cargo space with less weight and superior handling

Convertible Top

This BMW 4th Series offers a 40 percent lighter soft top compare to the last generation hardtop. It has an additional 0.2 inches of headroom. This brand made the mechanism simpler, with a touch of a single button, the top roof can be opened and closed within 18 seconds at the speed of 31mph, plus it is smaller than the hardtop when folded.  It also gives you 1.2 cubic feet of additional cargo area including 9 cubic feet of trunk space.

The top roof is available in two colors one is black and the other is optional moonlight black that has a metallic shimmer for direct sunlight. BMW also offers a wind deflector to reduce wind noise and car’s aerodynamics. It is available with three bow panels that fold into an accordion-style Z configuration when the trunk gets open under a hardcover. Appearance-wise it is almost the same as the Coupe. However, the total length is increased by 5.2 inches.
