BMW drops the price of Gran Coupe with the addition of the front-wheel-drive variant. The previous-generation model comes with the x-Drive all-wheel-drive system. Gran coupe is still not cheaper than BMW X1 with FWD.
The FWD 228i Gran Coupe comes has the same standard turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine that makes 228 horsepower with eight-speed automatic transmission. It has refined fuel economy with excellent EPA.
The FWD model is 0.3 seconds slower than the all-wheel drive. It covers 0-60 mph in just 6.3 seconds and attains 60 mph in 5.1 seconds. The competitors are Mercedes Benz A-Class and Audi A3 in comparison BMW is quite cheaper with a starting price of $34,700
